FAQ

FREQUENTY ASKED QUESTIONS

TRANSPARENCY IS OUR PROMISE

GENERAL

  • Destructable provides end-of-life solutions for renewable energy infrastructure. Our services include wind and solar recycling coordination, decommissioning, blade downsizing, transportation, and emergency response—executed with safety, compliance, and accountability.

  • We’re headquartered in Texas but operate nationwide. Our crews and partners have supported projects across more than 10 states, and we’re growing fast to meet the demand for responsible decommissioning.

  • We’re actively pursuing ISO 9001 certification and only work with recycling partners that meet strict environmental and operational standards. Our field crews hold all relevant safety and operations certifications, including OSHA, CPR/First Aid, and machine-specific qualifications.

RECYCLING & MATERIALS

  • No. Destructable does not recycle on-site. We reduce wind blades in size on-site to make them easier and safer to transport. These sections are then sent to one of our facilities, where they are shredded. The final shred is delivered to a certified offtake partner for recycling.

  • Yes. We offer multiple certified offtake options and allow customers to select the partner that best aligns with their sustainability goals, regional logistics, or compliance needs.

    • Towers and metals are processed through licensed scrap facilities.

    • Solar panels are delivered to specialized recycling facilities for glass, metal, and silicon recovery.

  • Absolutely. Our documentation includes:

    • Chain-of-custody records

    • Weight and transport logs

    • Load photos

    • Certificates of Recycling and Destruction

  • We do. Destructable frequently supplies blade tips, nacelles, and other components for use in wind technician training and renewable energy education programs. Availability depends on current projects, so we encourage schools, workforce programs, and training centers to contact us directly.

SERVICES & PROCESS

  • Yes. Destructable provides turnkey decommissioning services for both wind and solar sites. Our crews handle dismantling, removal, transport, and site clearing—all with safety and compliance at the core.

  • No problem. Our services are modular—clients frequently engage us just for blade cutting, component removal, logistics support, or solar panel recycling coordination.

  • For catastrophic failures (such as blade breaks, turbine fires, or tower collapse), we can mobilize emergency response crews within 24–48 hours, depending on location. For scheduled work, mobilization typically starts within 2–4 weeks of contract execution.

TRACEABILITY & REPORTING

  • Transparency is at the core of every Destructable project. We provide consistent, organized reporting through daily logs, a shared documentation drive, and a final project summary, ensuring every step is tracked and verifiable.

    Daily Reporting Includes:

    • Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

    • End-of-Day (EOD) Reports

    • Turbine Completion Logs

    Shared Project Drive Includes:

    • Turbine-specific folders

    • Component inventory tracking

    • Certificates of Recycling & Destruction

    • Weigh tickets

    • Photos and serial number documentation

    • Bills of Lading (BOL)

    • Project Completion Summary

    Weekly Tracking Reports:

    • Ongoing project progress updates

    • Cumulative completion tracking

    Final Report Package:

    • Comprehensive summary of the entire project

    • Total volume of material recycled

    • Final documentation confirming off-take delivery and recycling

COMPLIANCE

  • We closely monitor federal, state, and local regulations related to transportation, recycling, and disposal of renewable energy components. Our team works to ensure each project aligns with applicable requirements, and we provide documentation—including weigh tickets, certificates of destruction, and BOLs—to support client compliance efforts.

  • Yes. Destructable is fully insured, including general liability, auto, and workers’ compensation coverage. Certificates of Insurance (COIs) are available upon request for all active projects.
